Horneros are rather
soft-looking, light-brown birds known for building mud nests that
resemble old wood-fired ovens. They are often seen on the ground collecting mud or dung to build their remarkable nests. These look for all the world like miniature versions of the type of oven (or "horno") that you see outside many houses in rural South America. Hence the name "Ovenbirds" in English and "Hornero", the Spanish for baker. |

I'm from San Telmo and I come
by these districts to leave a verse for the mothers and young women of my city. I am a sincere singer, simple and sentimental I work like the ovenbird and I sing like a thrust. I always knew to respect the one who spoke and related to me, in San Telmo they know me as a singer and good friend. If it's needed to calm the pain of the one that lives suffering, I'm first in the occasion to alleviate his heart. |
